Are You Trusting Your Joy?

the practice of joy

What if your Joy was trying to tell you something? Not in a loud, shouting-from-the-rooftops kind of way—but through soft whispers, gentle nudges, and that unmistakable feeling in your body when something just feels right.

We live in a world that glorifies hustle and external validation, yet the real magic—the kind that brings peace, clarity, and yes, even abundance—lies in learning to trust your inner compass. Your Joy.

This post is a loving reminder to start honouring that quiet wisdom that lives inside you. Because when you stop abandoning yourself and start choosing alignment? That’s when everything starts to flow.

Joy Is Your Guide—Are You Listening?

Here’s the thing: when you’re in alignment with who you really are, life feels good. You experience more ease, more clarity, more flow. You feel deeply rooted in yourself. That is your Joy speaking.

On the flip side, when you’re not in alignment—when you're saying yes to things that feel like a no, people-pleasing to keep the peace, or avoiding those uncomfortable truths you know in your gut—it gets heavy. That dis-ease you feel? That’s a signal. That’s your Joy waving a red flag saying, “Something’s off.”

This isn’t about chasing happiness or slapping a positive sticker on hard things. It’s about tuning in. Listening. Aligning your actions with your truth—even when it’s uncomfortable.

Alignment > Approval

Saying no is hard. Setting boundaries takes courage. It’s vulnerable to disappoint others or risk being misunderstood. But every single time you say yes to yourself, you reinforce self-trust—and that is where true confidence is born.

The cost of people-pleasing is self-abandonment. Ouch, I know. But it’s the truth.

And guess what? The discomfort of growth is way less painful than the slow ache of staying stuck in a life that doesn’t reflect who you really are.

Joy isn’t about being happy all the time. It’s about cultivating deep inner peace and self-respect—even when things are messy, uncertain, or downright tough. That’s real Joy.

It’s Time to Start Paying Attention

Not sure where to begin? Start noticing.

  • What lights you up and energizes you?
  • What drains you, irritates you, or feels off?
  • When do you feel most like you?
  • When do you feel like you’re shrinking or performing?

These are breadcrumbs. Follow them. Let them guide you home to yourself.

When you trust your Joy, you open the door to aligned opportunities, deeper relationships, and a life that feels like it was made for you—because it was.

Joy becomes your strategy, your compass, your currency.
And the more you honour it, the more magnetic you become.

It’s not always easy. It’s definitely not always convenient. But it is worth it.

Let this be your gentle invitation to slow down, tune in, and take one small step toward alignment today. Whether that’s saying no, setting a boundary, or simply acknowledging what’s really true for you—your Joy is worth following.
