What If What You Are Seeking Is Within?
Last week six courageous, committed, beautiful humans gathered together for the last time as a cohort.
Chantal. Rebecca. Leanne. Jodi. Kim. And Kim.
One by one I watched each of them step fully into something they had been carrying inside them all along.
They came into this journey knowing that something more was possible. What they found over six months of courageous, consistent inner work is that the next level was never outside of them. It has always been within. Waiting to be acknowledged and honoured.
The reframing. The powerful intention setting. The courageous and inspired action. The gratitude and excitement. The trust and ease that arrives when you finally release the perfectionism, the pleasing, and the overfunctioning and decide that you are worth choosing.
That is what shifts everything. It is choosing to meet yourself in all of the light and the shadows.
This is the energy these graduates are now carrying into their rooms and communities. And I believe it will change the world.
The Knowing Most of Us Carry
Most of us are searching for meaning.
And over the course of our lives, that search quietly pulls us away from ourselves. We look outward. We achieve. We perform. We give. We become very good at living a life that looks right from the outside while something on the inside grows quieter.
Until one day, enough is enough.
Not a crisis. Not a breakdown. Just a bone-deep tiredness of the disconnection. And an inner knowing, patient and persistent, that there is more. That the version of life calling you forward is closer than you think.
That knowing is not restlessness. That is you, calling yourself home.
The executives, the parents, the leaders, the guides who find their way to this work are already remarkable humans. They are not broken. They are awake enough to feel the gap between the life they are living and the life they know is possible. And courageous enough to do something about it.
What they discover is that the meaning they have been searching for was never outside of them. It was in them all along. Waiting to be acknowledged. Waiting to be chosen.
What Choosing Joy Actually Looks Like
I want to be honest about something because I think it matters.
Choosing Joy is not passive. It is one of the most active, most courageous things a person can do.
It requires the willingness to feel what is actually present rather than moving past it too quickly. The courage to tell the truth about what is and is not working, to yourself first, before anyone else. The decision to stop settling for a version of your life that is good on paper and start building one that feels genuinely, deeply yours.
The Joy Method I teach is built on this foundation. Seven steps that work together as a feel-better practice, a nervous system regulator, and a framework for deliberately creating the life you want to be living. Not someday. Now.
What I watch happen in every cohort is the same beautiful thing. People arrive already knowing that something more is possible. They leave knowing they are Joy. They leave having chosen themselves fully, and having discovered that the world gets better when they do.
For them. For everyone around them. For every room they walk into.
That is the ripple. When one person chooses Joy and means it, the people they love feel it. The work they do carries a different quality. The world gets a little more lit up from the inside out.
An Invitation
If something in this piece is stirring something in you, I want to leave you with one question worth sitting with.
What if the thing you have been looking for has been within you this whole time?
Not outside. Not later. Not on the other side of the next goal or the next version of your life.
Within. Right now. Waiting only for you to turn toward it and choose it.
Meet the Joy Facilitators
If you want to meet some of the incredible humans who followed that call and are now bringing Joy into their own rooms and communities, I would love for you to visit our Joy Facilitator directory.
Chantal, Rebecca, Leanne, Jodi, Kim, and Kim are coaches, leaders, and guides who felt the knowing, followed it, and found exactly what you might be sensing right now. And who have chosen to carry it forward into the world.
Visit theacademyofjoyfulliving.com to meet them.
And if this is speaking to something in you, the next cohort begins June 23rd. This is the last round of the year and the last time at this price. Doors close June 17th. Reach out at jillianschecher.com.
